Summer Fruit

I painted this watercolor to capture the joy, warmth, and freshness of summer. The bright red, the glowing orange, and the many shades of green create a feeling of abundance and energy. I wanted the colors to feel almost as juicy as the fruit itself. I hope the viewer feels the pleasure of summer when looking at this painting—the coolness of a slice of watermelon on a hot day, the sweetness and fragrance of a ripe apricot, and the anticipation of taking that first juicy bite. I hope it brings a smile, awakens a memory, and makes you almost taste the fruit through the colors.

Ho dipinto questo acquerello per catturare la gioia, il calore e la freschezza dell’estate. I rossi brillanti, gli arancioni luminosi e le tante sfumature di verde creano una sensazione di abbondanza, energia e luce. Volevo che i colori sembrassero quasi succosi e vibranti quanto la frutta stessa.

Spero che chi guarda questo dipinto possa sentire il semplice piacere dell’estate: la freschezza di una fetta di anguria in una giornata calda, la dolcezza e il profumo di una albicocca matura, e l’attesa di quel primo morso succoso. Soprattutto, spero che il dipinto porti un sorriso, risvegli un ricordo felice e faccia sentire quasi di poter assaporare la frutta attraverso i colori.
